Praying for snow panic

All the news and weather outlets are calling for some minor amount of frozen precipitation during the middle of the day today.  Last week when we had snow during the early afternoon, I had one of the best, yes best, commutes in a very long time.  I left work prepared for the worst.  I had visions of crowded trains and stop and go traffic.  Apparently a lot of my fellow commuters thought the same thing and left downtown earlier in the after noon.  By the time I got to Shady Grove around 6:30, the roads were empty.  I was able to drive the speed limit all the way home, and walked in the door at 7:08.  Its was a pleasant surprise.

So, here’s hoping that commuters have the same idea today when the tiny bit of rain/snow falls and everyone leaves town early.
